I am a French artist living and working in Lisbon. I graduated with distinction in Fine Arts from Central Saint Martins in 2015.
I was runner-up in the Lowe Nova Awards in the year 2015.I work with installation, sculpture, and screen printing, seeking to question the fields of aesthetics, collection, and design. My work is part of the António Cachola Collection, Elvas, PT. I have exhibited my work in several solo exhibitions such as: Just before we begin, FOCO Gallery, Lisbon, PT, 2020, Terrains vagues, Sedimento show, Lisbon, PT, 2020.
In parallel, my various work experiences allowed me to gain skills in the organization, programming and evaluation of a cultural event. Thus, I founded the space MONO Lisbon in October 2019 and developed the project that includes artists' studios, a residence and a space for exhibitions, performances, concerts, and contemporary dance creations.
I organized several exhibitions bringing together Portuguese and international artists in this space as well as sound performances and contemporary dance creations.
Winning the NOVA Award was a great opportunity to enter the "real life" after university with financial help, being able to dedicate time to my practice, rent a studio and carry on my practice.
Awards are important because they do help young artist in the beginning of their career.

Description:
The project emerged as a response to the few numbers of alternative models for cultural production in Lisbon. Mono’s main mission is to promote collective work between artists and other cultural actors, promote national and international exchanges and to enrich the development of critical thinking through questioning history, evolution, innovation and humanity. For mono, an «artists-run-space» has the task of creating the necessary conditions for the sustainability, interdisciplinary and multiculturalism of contemporary creation. Mono is an 800m2 space organised between a studio with permanent artists, exhibition space, and an artist-residence. Exhibitions welcome local, national and international artists. Concerts (circle session), performances and talks are also part of the programming. Mono is in Penha de França, where there is still space for the development of artistic culture. Mono seeks to create a connection between the nearest neighbourhoods, such as Arroios and Graça, where there is already a panorama of contemporary art in development and contribute to the local environment with new cultural dynamics.

Title: Espèces d'espaces [Species of Spaces and Other Pieces]
Date: 1974
Author: Georges Perec
Details: Species of Spaces and Other Pieces is a collection of Perec's "non-fictional and occasional writings". They span essentially his entire writing career (the earliest is a transcript from remarks from 1959), and include interviews, essays, fiction, and some of his puzzles.

Description: What can we know of the world? What quantity of space can our eyes hope to take in between our birth and our death? How many square centimetres of Planet Earth will the soles of our shoes have touched? To cover the world, to cross it in every direction, will only ever be to know a few square meters of it. And with the sense of the world's concreteness, irreducible, immediate tangible, of something clear and closer to us: of the world, no longer as a journey having constantly to be met, but as a rediscovery of meaning, the perceiving that the earth is a form of writing, a geography of which we had forgotten that we ourselves are the authors.
